Rainforest Leaf Cuff

Silver has always been magical for me. As a child I loved seeing the Native American jewelry being sold along the roads in the Southwest. The vibrant colors of turquoise, coral and lapis were beautiful to me. I later found that they are associated with healing and magical powers. After apprenticing with a master silversmith, now I am fortunate to work with these special materials of the earth.

I use the traditional silversmithing techniques of hammering, hand sawing, soldering and stone setting. Each piece of jewelry is a one of a kind design. They draw their inspiration from nature and the rarity, individuality, beauty and magic of the stones.

I graduated from the University of Iowa earning a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Multi-Media. For many years I focused on conceptual art. I exhibited nationally and won numerous awards. Now my path takes me in another direction - adornment and it's pure natural beauty.
